    UNIDAD OCEÁNO Y CLIMA
Creation of interdisciplinary research groups to approach oceanographic, technological and environmental problems

The Unidad de Océano y Clima (UOC/ULPGC-CSIC), a R&D&I associated unit between the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), arises from the wish of combining and complementing the knowledge and experience of two leading oceanography groups:

The Instituto Universitario de Oceanografía y Cambio Global (IOCAG, ULPGC) and the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM, CSIC). The main objective of this association is to create a solid and competitive interdisciplinary oceanographic unit, with extensive experience in the areas of physical, biological, geological and chemical oceanography, including data analysis, modelling and instrumentation.
